Program Length: 7 hours for full course
COURSE DETAILS
Children’s grade school years are filled with new friends, new discoveries, and a curiosity about the world around them. But unfortunately, the world can be a tricky place.
Ensuring safety on the streets for children is every parent’s concern, but unfortunately we can’t watch over our kids every minute. That’s why we developed our Personal Safety for Kids course, to give children the skills and confidence to make smart decisions and avoid situations that might put their safety at risk.
Designed for kids aged 7 – 9, this course also covers online safety at home for children, which is also a growing concern in our ever-connected world.
Our Personal Safety for Kids program covers:
- People safety (strangers, tricky people, and bullies)
- Strategies for getting help
- Decision-making skills to handle emergencies
- How to recognize risky situations and prevent injuries
- Online safety
- Fire safety
- Travel safety
As a Canadian Red Cross Training Partner and Affiliate of the Lifesaving Society, our instructors are fully qualified to teach our kids safety and awareness classes.
