Milton BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification Training (Formerly HCP)
Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR and AED Program
Healthcare providers and responders play an important role in delivering patient care and responding to emergencies. The Milton BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification Training program helps individuals obtain current Basic Life Support certification. It supports their responsibilities in pre-hospital and in-facility care environments.
The Canadian Red Cross has transitioned from the former Healthcare Provider (HCP) CPR program to the Basic Life Support (BLS) program. Individuals who previously required CPR-HCP certification must now complete CPR-BLS certification. The Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR and AED Program follows current evidence-based guidelines and meets industry standards and legislative requirements.
Participants learn CPR and choking management techniques for adults, children, and infants using BLS-level protocols. The program also includes Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training and certification. Participants develop the practical skills needed to respond effectively during patient care and emergency situations.
SOS First Aid delivers the Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR and AED Program through certified Red Cross instructors as a Canadian Red Cross Training Partner. The program builds practical skills and confidence. Participants can apply these skills in healthcare and emergency response settings.
Participants can attend training in Milton and surrounding communities. Organizations can also arrange workplace and group training sessions to certify multiple team members at the same time.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive:
- Canadian Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) & AED Certification (valid for 1 year)
Price: $70.00 (plus HST)
