The Canadian Red Cross has replaced the Healthcare Provider (HCP) level of CPR with the new Basic Life Support (BLS) curriculum. Responders who previously required CPR HCP will now require CPR BLS. The new BLS program incorporates the latest evidence-based science and research and meets current industry standards and legislative requirements.
Prerequisites: No prior first aid training required Who is this course for?: Healthcare Responders working in an in-facility or prehospital setting. ( Including, Fire and EMS services, ski patrol and some specialized rescue teams) Program Length: 2 days for full certification course (100% attendance required)

The Standard First Aid portion of this course meets WSIB first aid requirements for a workplace with 6 or more staff.
