Standard First Aid with CPR C and AED – Mississauga

Accidents and emergencies happen all the time and when they do it’s up to those who are not involved in the accident to act fast and get the victims the help that they need. The victims, in this case, could be your child, your partner, your workmate or even strangers in the streets but without the knowledge and training in first aid, you may not know how to respond to critical and even life-threatening medical emergencies.

Your ability to save lives or prevent medical emergencies from escalating further, therefore, depends on your understanding of first aid and our courses will equip you with all the knowledge that you need to respond to medical emergencies with confidence. To learn more about our Standard First Aid with CPR C and AED course please click here. Or you can contact us.

This course will equip you with the practical and theoretical knowledge on how to deal with medical emergencies that occur in our homes, workplace and social gatherings.

When an accident or a medical emergency occurs, you should reach out to emergency medical services for help, but before they arrive at the scene there are things that you need to do so as to keep the victim alive and comfortable as they wait for medical assistance.

You need to stop the bleeding from the wounds of an injured person, you need to remove blockages from the airway when someone is choking, you need to put victims of head and spine injuries in the best position to recover as they wait for EMS and these are some of the things that you will learn to do when you sign up for our comprehensive first aid course.

The course also covers topics such as;

  • The principles of first aid which are Check, Call, and Care.
  • The EMS System.
  • How to recognize the symptoms of a certain injury or illness.
  • How to treat: Airway blockages, breathing and circulation problems, burns and wounds.
  • Environmental emergencies.
  • How to administer first aid for: Muscle, joint and bone injuries, cardiac arrest, spine and head injuries.
  • How to give CPR (CPR C – Adult, child, infant including 2-person CPR).
  • How to use an AED (Defibrillator).

Our courses are offered by qualified instructors with advanced First Aid Training. We are an official training partner for the Canadian Red Cross and an Affiliate of the Lifesaving Society and this has exposed us to the latest tools and technologies in emergency care. Learners are assessed throughout the 2-day training program so as to ensure that they grasp the information taught in class.

Upon completion of the training program, learners are offered certificates that allow them to offer emergency care and response when an accident/emergency occurs. Our certification is valid for 3 years and is recognized by all employers. Certified first aiders will seek re-certification only once during this time. Our certification includes;

  • Standard First Aid Certificate.
  • Standard CPR C Certificate.
  • Standard AED Certificate.

Considering the importance of first aid training, anyone without prior training in first aid should apply for this course. Parents, daycare providers, and teachers should actively seek first aid training as they are always dealing with children.

Others who need this training include employers and employees in organizations with at least 6 people, tour guides, swim instructors and traders.
