Training for Schools

Many high school students plan careers in healthcare, personal support, early childhood education, pharmaceuticals, security, or other areas where they’ll be expected to know how to react in a first aid emergency.

Whether your students need first aid training to complete their Secondary High Schools Majors (SHSM) curriculum, or to fulfill requirements for programs relating to their career path, SOS First Aid & Safety Training can help.

SOS First Aid & Safety Training offers private training in first aid & CPR for public and private secondary school students to complete their curriculum requirements. Our Red Cross trained instructors have years of experience training young adults in first aid, and training school groups for CPR to make sure students are prepared for post-secondary education in their chosen careers.

As a Canadian Red Cross Training Partner and Affiliate of the Lifesaving Society, our instructors are fully qualified to teach First Aid & CPR. Our First Aid & CPR programs are WSIB approved and meet standards established by Federal Occupational Health and Safety Act.

WSIB Approved Workplace First Aid and CPR Training

Select from six WSIB-approved first aid courses, all taught by our Red Cross trained professionals:

Designed for groups of 5 or more, our on site first aid training courses bring our WSIB approved programs to your institution. Taught by engaging, Red Cross trained professionals, your staff will be fully certified to handle emergency situations that require first aid or CPR.

Please note that for both courses, prices are subject to change based on the number of participants. All certifications are provided by the Canadian Red Cross and are valid for 3 years.

Our programs are taught in easy-to-follow steps, allowing graduates to act on, prevent, and manage life’s emergencies wherever they may occur. Instruction is hands-on and interactive and is supported by a variety of training materials, including CPR mannequins, AED trainers, bandages and splinting materials, barrier devices, auto-injector trainers, inhalers, and more.

We provide flexible scheduling options, so that courses can be run on weekdays, evenings, or weekends. Please allow 2 – 3 weeks prior notice for us to accommodate your dates.
