First Aid and Safety Training Solutions for Life
COVID-19 SUCKS! It has been a very challenging time for everyone. SOS First Aid is a small, local (Hamilton-Oakville-Mississauga) business that cares about keeping our students and instructors safe. We have implemented a number of safety precautions in order to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Students can still obtain first aid and CPR certifications during the coronavirus, knowing that we are doing our part to help prevent the spread. We are offering more BLENDED first aid courses so that students spend less time in class. We do COVID screening for all classes. All students and instructors are required to wear a mask, be fully vaccinated and exercise social distancing in class. All equipment is cleaned and sanitized after every use and we encourage frequent hand hygiene during our training sessions. The Red Cross has modified standards to provide less contact with other students. We are doing our part and thank you for doing your part.
Enhance your career by developing new health and safety skills, get your First Aid, CPR and AED certification or recertification, or simply gain greater knowledge and everyday life skills. There are many reasons for taking courses like WHMIS, ground disturbance awareness, winter driving, developing team leadership skills, or even learn drone safety. Whatever the reason, review our in-class training schedule for a location near you or review the 700+ online health and safety courses that meet your needs, budget and schedule. Most importantly, we hope you gain confidence and enjoy the learning experience.
Psychological First Aid is a new Red Cross program that supports the mental health wellness of communities. Individuals suffering from high-stress levels, burnout, and suicidal thoughts (and actions) are at an all-time high in areas such as workplaces, schools, indigenous communities and among professional responders. The focus of training is from a crisis-centred approach to one of prevention and resiliency-building.
SOS First Aid provides comprehensive, high quality health and safety programs that apply AT WORK…IN THE COMMUNITY and AT HOME.
