Burlington BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification Training (Formerly HCP)
Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR and AED Program
Healthcare professionals often require current Basic Life Support certification to meet workplace requirements and stay prepared for patient care environments. The Burlington BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification Training program equips participants with the skills needed to respond effectively in emergency situations while meeting current certification requirements.
The Canadian Red Cross has transitioned from the former Healthcare Provider (HCP) level of CPR to the Basic Life Support (BLS) program. Individuals who previously completed CPR-HCP certification must now obtain CPR-BLS certification. The Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR and AED Program reflects the latest evidence-based guidelines and aligns with current industry standards and legislative requirements.
Participants learn CPR and choking management techniques for adults, children, and infants using BLS-level protocols. The program also includes Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training and certification. Responders develop the practical skills required in patient care and emergency response situations.
As a Canadian Red Cross Training Partner, SOS First Aid delivers the Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR and AED Program through certified Red Cross instructors. Instructors provide practical, hands-on training that supports real-world application in both pre-hospital and in-facility environments.
Participants can access training in Burlington and surrounding communities. Group training options are also available for workplaces and organizations looking to certify multiple team members at the same time.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive:
- Canadian Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) & AED Certification (valid for 1 year)
Price: $70.00 (plus HST)
