CPR BLS (Formerly HCP) and AED – Stoney Creek

Stoney Creek BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification Training (Formerly HCP)

Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR and AED Program

Healthcare providers and responders working in patient care environments require certification that reflects current standards and best practices. The Stoney Creek BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification Training program helps individuals obtain current Basic Life Support certification. It supports their responsibilities in pre-hospital and in-facility settings.

The Canadian Red Cross has replaced the former Healthcare Provider (HCP) level of CPR with the Basic Life Support (BLS) program. Individuals who previously required CPR-HCP certification now require CPR-BLS certification. The Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR and AED Program incorporates current evidence-based guidelines and meets industry standards and legislative requirements.

Participants learn CPR and choking management techniques for adults, children, and infants using BLS-level protocols. The program also includes Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training and certification, helping responders develop the practical skills needed to support patient care and emergency response situations.

SOS First Aid delivers the Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR and AED Program as a Canadian Red Cross Training Partner through certified Red Cross instructors. Training focuses on practical skill development and team-based emergency response. It also supports the certification requirements of healthcare providers and patient care responders.

Participants can access training in Stoney Creek and surrounding communities. Organizations can also access workplace and group training options for certification opportunities involving multiple participants at the same time.

Upon Successful Completion, Participants Will Receive:

  • Canadian Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) & AED Certification (valid for 1 year)
