Building Resiliency and Coping Strategies
Psychological First Aid (PFA) courses are part of a Red Cross program focused on helping people build resiliency and learn to cope with daily and long-term stress, loss, grief and trauma.
People who suffer from high-stress levels, burnout, and suicidal thoughts are growing in the workplaces, schools, indigenous communities and among professional responders. Supporting the emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing of communities is a top priority for the SOS First Aid. The online courses help learners build resiliency and develop coping strategies is an effective approach at improving outcomes for individuals and others in their care.
There are 2 online PFA course modules: Self-Care and Caring for Others. Both courses will introduce the learner to the Look, Listen, Link and Live model. The two online modules focus on self-care, personal protection, and caring for others.
NOTE Our online courses are self-paced. Participants may leave the course at any time and can resume where they left off. The duration will vary depending on the individual learner and their prior knowledge of the subject matter.
