This comprehensive recertification program includes a health care providers (BLS) component to our standard First Aid & CPR program, covering first aid for circulatory and breathing emergencies, CPR Level C (adult, child, infant, and 2-person CPR) and HCP (BVM, pulse checks, jaw thrust, 2-person CPR for infant), AED, disease transmission prevention, wound care, treating injuries to the head and spine, and much more.
This course is for current holders of valid Red Cross certification in first aid with CPR BLS and AED, who are seeking recertification.
In accordance with WSIB regulations, all participants must provide proof of current and valid Red Cross certification to be permitted to complete a recertification course. We cannot accept certifications from other first aid training organizations.
Please note that expired cards or valid recertification cards will not be accepted as proof of current certification. This is a legal requirement, so please check your certificates before registering for a recertification course. If your current certification is a recertification card, under WSIB Regulation 1101 you will be required to complete a full 2-day certification course to obtain a valid certificate for Standard First Aid.
This course meets WSIB first aid requirements for a workplace with 6 or more staff.
As a Canadian Red Cross Training Partner, our instructors are fully qualified to teach First Aid & CPR, and can tailor each course based on class composition. Our First Aid & CPR programs are WSIB approved and meet standards established by Federal Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Earn your recertification at one of our convenient training locations in Southern Ontario, or we can bring the program to your office or group.
After completing this course, you will have your:
