This course is for existing first aid and water safety instructors or certified teachers. The Fundamentals of Instruction course is a prerequisite for people who are currently not first aid/water safety or certified teachers. Please contact us for further information about Fundamentals of Instruction. Next Fundamentals of Instruction is Feb 3/4.
The process to become a Red Cross PFA instructor is for existing Red Cross First Aid or Water Safety Instructors is:
Prerequisite is:
- – Current and valid Psychological participant level course.
- – Fundamentals of instruction.
The process requires you to:
– Complete the psychological first aid specific instructor’s program – 16 hours
– Complete a Teaching Experience of 50% of a PFA participant level course with an experienced instructor.

7th floor- Suite 706 – Free parking is available in front of the building. Enter through the main doors and take the elevator up to the 7th floor.
The building is the tall green building, located on the west side of Hurontario, just north of HW403.
The parking entrance is off of Tucana Court, behind the building.
