This course is for existing first aid and water safety instructors or certified teachers. The Fundamentals of Instruction course is a prerequisite for people who are currently not first aid/water safety or certified teachers. Please contact us for further information about Fundamentals of Instruction. Next Fundamentals of Instruction is October 17/18.
The process to become a Red Cross PFA instructor is for existing Red Cross First Aid or Water Safety Instructors is:
Prerequisite is:
- – Current and valid Psychological participant level course.
- – Fundamentals of instruction.
The process requires you to:
– Complete the psychological first aid specific instructor’s program – 16 hours
– Complete a Teaching Experience of 50% of a PFA participant level course with an experienced instructor.
