Course Information
This online safe and rigging course covers proper practices, rigging techniques and regulations to safely sling and rig loads in accordance with Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Z150-98 regulation, which is applicable in Canada. This hoisting and rigging certification training also adheres to the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) standards.
For workers, without proper skills to support rigging and slinging, not only are crane operators and riggers lives at risk when cranes malfunction, but ground works and the public can also suffer serious injuries. As crane operators / riggers it is necessary to understand and respect the machines and to practice safe operating, rigging and slinging procedures.
Rigging loads is a skilled art supported by a sound engineering discipline. Rigging training will cover the task of lifting, moving, and holding heavy loads implies a certain level of risk and with proper training and experience, the level of risk can be minimized.
