First Aid and CPR Training

Our instructors at SOS First Aid & Safety Training provide Red Cross approved first aid & CPR training. There are various layers of First Aid and CPR skills required for various professions. We not only offer Standard and Emergency First Aid, CPR, and AED Certifications, we can also train medical professionals in CPR level BLS Certification, so your skills will be on par with most healthcare professionals in Southern Ontario. We also help pharmacists seeking recertification in CPR, medical staff needing first aid & CPR certification, and anyone in the healthcare field requiring emergency response skills upgrading.
As a Canadian Red Cross Training Partner and Affiliate of the Lifesaving Society, our instructors are fully qualified to teach First Aid & CPR. Our First Aid & CPR programs are WSIB approved and meet standards established by Federal Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Our courses are WSIB Approved workplace courses and one can choose from six WSIB-approved first aid courses, all taught by our Red Cross trained professionals:
- Standard First Aid with AED/CPR A, B, C or BLS
- Emergency First Aid with AED/CPR A, B, C or BLS
- CPR A, B, C with AED and BLS
Designed for groups of 8 or more, our on site first aid training courses bring our WSIB approved programs to your place of business. Taught by engaging, Red Cross trained professionals, your staff will be fully certified to handle emergency situations that require first aid or CPR.
Please note that for both courses, prices are subject to change based on the number of participants. All first aid certifications are provided by the Canadian Red Cross and are valid for 3 years. BLS certification are valid for 1 year.
Our programs are taught in easy-to-follow steps, allowing graduates to act on, prevent, and manage life’s emergencies wherever they may occur. Instruction is hands-on and interactive and is supported by a variety of training materials, including CPR mannequins, AED trainers, bandages and splinting materials, barrier devices, auto-injector trainers, inhalers, and more.
We provide flexible scheduling options, so that courses can be run on weekdays, evenings, or weekends. Please allow 2 – 3 weeks prior notice for us to accommodate your dates.
Respirator Mask Fit Certification Required by Ontario Health and Safety (OHS Regulation)
Many professions are required to wear a mask at the workplace and the higher grade of mask (i.e. N95, P100 mask) must have a mask fit certification completed to properly protect themselves and others. These industries and professions include long-term care facilities, retirement homes, dental offices, personal support workers, long-term care facilities as well as the manufacturing, food services, construction and logistics companies to name a few.
When N95 or a P100/half face mask respirator mask is used in the workplace, mask fit testing is a health and safety regulatory requirement. Our partner, Mask Fit Plus provides a flexible N95 mask, P100 respirator mask fit services to support your specific need.
