Toronto pharmacist, cop save heart attack victim on trans-Pacific flight

Pharmacist CPR Training Comes in Handy on a trans-Pacific Flight

Pharmacists in Ontario who give out vaccines must be certified with CPR training. Yet a Toronto pharmacist who practices in Oakville certainly didn’t realize his training requirement would have resulted in the need to save a passenger on an overnight trans-Pacific flight.

With quick thinking and action, their training prepared them to provide continuous CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation), and the use of the plane’s defibrillator to keep the man alive until emergency workers / ambulance could meet the plane.

CPR / First Aid Training can come in handy in any situation. Is your training up to date? Keep your CPR training up-to-date with our Pharmacist CPR Training courses.
